Like the entire Syracuse University family, we at the College of Engineering and Computer Science bleed orange. We believe that when you pursue a Syracuse University master's degree program, the connections you build with your classmates and instructors are just as valuable as the technical skills you develop. Our online learning format reinforces that spirit of collaboration, helping you become a fully immersed member of the Syracuse University community—no matter where you live.
No matter where you are in the world, our online programs offer you the same degrees, resources, and services as on-campus students. You will also be held to the same high standards that have produced a global community of scholars who have gone on to achieve incredible advances in our field.
All online programs feature:
Live Class Sessions
Interdisciplinary learning is a foundational component of our curriculum. To infuse that collaborative spirit into our online programs, we deliver weekly face-to-face classes in a virtual classroom.
Weekly classes are open discussions in which all students participate in real time via webcam. You will be able to share documents, break into small groups with classmates, and have open dialogues with peers and professors. All live classes are recorded and will be available for you to review at any time during or after your master's program.
At the College of Engineering and Computer Science we are always pushing to find new and exciting ways to deliver traditional course content. Our faculty members work with world-class content developers to create online content that is engaging and immersive.
Coursework consists of:
• Interactive videos
• Self-paced recorded lectures
• Face-to-face group projects
• Hands-on learning exercises
All coursework is available 24/7 from any Internet-enabled device and is designed to prepare you for weekly live class sessions.
During your time as a student, you will have the opportunity to join your classmates and professors in person for immersive learning experiences. Immersions allow you to meet and collaborate with your peers, learn from guest speakers who are industry experts, and participate in collaborative workshops.
Immersive Virtual Campus
All live classes, coursework, and peer contacts can be accessed through our online campus—a platform that connects you to all aspects of your program. Using this platform, you will build a personal and professional profile to help develop connections with classmates and professors as well as have 24/7 access to assignments and recorded classes.
The platform helps you:
• Connect With Peers
• Manage Your Courses
• Join Social Groups
• Track Assignments
