At Syracuse University's College of Engineering and Computer Science, we seek students who are passionate about computing and who understand the broad impact that new technologies and ideologies can have on society. Our students are interdisciplinary leaders with the ability to successfully meet the demands of a selective, rigorous graduate program.
Prospective students should have a strong interest in computing and computer systems, and how to further develop the necessary skills to take-on advanced computing and cybersecurity challenges. Most have a strong background in computer science or other computing disciplines and are seeking an advanced degree that will help them further develop specialized skills in one or more areas of computing. To ensure that students are well prepared for the academic rigor of the program, there are two preparatory courses available. Learn more about our preparatory courses.
